See! My mouth is already watering! And I'm not even that big a potato fan. Ohhhh, but these oven roasted gems do their damndest to take me to spud heaven each and every time.
Heady with the aroma and delicious sting of garlic, those crispy little brown edges and lemony outsides give way to an earthy, almost melt in your mouth, potato goodness in each and every mouthful.
That's if everything goes to plan, and I'm happy to say, I've been lucky with yummy results every time I do these roasties. Around our house we almost always do them when we're having Greek food, but great with prime rib or BBQ chicken too, or……..wait a minute…….yummy with spareribs, or pork chops or leg of lamb, or ……..well you get the idea.
LEMON GARLIC ROASTIES……………….Continued here
Lemon garlic roasties, BBQ, on the beach. Perfect.
Sounds delicious! I’ve never roasted my potatoes with water before and for that long, so will have to give this a try. I LOVE lemon roasted Greek potatoes!
I’ll be trying these for dinner tonight Judi!
Nice to see you pop in Rosie, all the way from Florida….yes indeed these spuds would be great at a picnic on your wonderful beach. Rose, you’ll have to give these a try and let me know joe what you think. Alohaaaa Betty……oh goodie, I’m glad you’re trying out these roasties. I bet you picked lemons from your yard, didn’t you??!!! If I close my eyes I’m so very easily transported to your yard. Yup!! Sure enough there I am right beside you picking lemons! Be sure to let me know how the roasties turn out for you.
I did the Lemon Garlic Roasties. I adore crispy roasted potates, and the heavely scent of garlic cooking anyway, but with lemon and garlic …it’s a combination that dances on your tongue.
Keep those recipes coming.

Dinner for 19 tonight was a huge success with all the recipes. The potatoes yummy, ribs gone in a flash and a bunch of the kids asked for forks to scrape the pan that had some bits of the pavlova left over on it cause they couldn’t get enough!!!! Thans for all the great recipes….
I finally got around to trying one of your recipes. The lemon garlic roasties were great and easy. The lemon is such a nice touch and adding the water made a big difference to what I usually do with over roasted potatoes.. Gord, Mark and Jen say “‘make those again, they were delish.”
Arlene, thanks for trying one of my blog recipes. I love that! Sooo glad you all enjoyed those lemony spuds. I like to hear ‘Delish!’
As you know we had a wedding over the weekend. So we had a little company and I made your Lemon Garlic Roasties. Well they went over really good. Even the over 80 crowd seemed pleased. I should have roasted them a bit more, and forgot to squeeze more lemon on at the end, so much was happening at the final stages of dinner. I will make them again for sure. I just had a couple cold as I made a sandwich they still taste good. Thanks
Brent
